Kingston traveled to Greenback and collided with the best single A team in the state, losing 41-0. Greenback is a tough venue for any team and Friday night was no exception. The Jackets played a tough game but ultimately come up short. New faces are becoming less new and more normal as more players get worked into the ballgame as the season progresses. It is always fun watching new faces receive well deserved playing time. I have compiled rushing statistics sourced from the Roane County News. I hope to add receiving statistics next week. Here are the top three rushers to date.

The Kingston Yellow Jackets were upbeat and excited about traveling to Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK) Friday night. The weather conditions were near perfect for a Friday night high school football game. I counted five different major news agencies on the sidelines covering the game. Being a district game, playoff implications create an atmosphere only experienced on a Friday night. CAK jumped out with an early lead and never looked back. The players left it all on the field and played four quarters of football but it wasn't meant to be for Kingston. Kingston played to the end and lost to CAK 42 to 22. Kingston travels to Greenback Friday, September 23. View the Kingston at CAK photo gallery. |
